EFRÎN – The people of Efrîn continue their resistance against the Turkish military’s occupation of the border and have been heading to the village of Sorke since early morning. It emerged that soldiers have fired live ammunition against the protestors and that one person has been wounded.

As the Turkish armed forces build a border wall in the village of Sarko, part of the Roca district of Efrîn Canton, the people of Efrîn have been resisting the occupation of the border for days. Many have been wounded over the last ten days, as soldiers deploy pepper spray and pressurized water against the popular resistance.

Despite the attacks, the people of Efrîn began to march this morning towards the village of Sarko against the occupation of the border. The march continued in the pouring rain, but information reaching our reporters indicates that soldiers have begun firing on the people with live ammunition, wounding one.
