ŞIRNEX – Police are forcing hundreds of families, who have lived in the tents during the curfew imposed in Şırnak for eight months, to take out from the tents. The police, who have blockaded the tents, say to the people in the tents, “Take your belongings or we will destroy the tents with diggers”. Şırnak people don’t leave their tents.

Curfew was declared in Şırnak on March 14 and the citizens had been forcibly displaced from their homes. The citizen began to live in tents around the city in order to not leave their lands. State forces have blockaded the tents of hundreds of families since morning.

Police officers have entered the tents one by one and threatened the people saying, “Take your belongings or we will destroy the tents with diggers”. The people don’t leave their tents despite the threats.
