Warplanes strike Dakuk: 15 civilians killed

KIRKÛK – The clashes between Daesh and Peshmerga and guerrilla forces broke out after Daesh attacked Kirkuk, continue. 15 civilians have been killed in the bombardment on Dakuk by warplanes.

Last morning, Daesh gangs’ group attacked Kirkuk. Clashes broke out in the city center and continued late into the night. At midnight, the Peshmerga forces and the HPG/YJA Star guerrillas took the places under control.

The Federal Kurdistan Region authorities reported that 23 people, including six security officers, were killed in the yesterday’s attacks on city center and power plant. In the morning, the clashes in Dûmiz Neighborhood and Mamudiye village of Keylan district were reported.

As the attacks of Daesh on Kirkuk city center continue, 15 civilians were reported to be killed in the airstrikes targeted Dakuk district.

Dakuk district Governor Emir Xwakerem reported that the airstrikes targeted the İlixani lodge of Shiite Turkmens left 15 people dead, including women and children, and 52 others wounded. Emir Xwakerem said they did not know to which state the jets that carried out the aggression belong.

Meanwhile, seven dead bodies were found near Xalebaziyan village of Kirkük’s Leylan town in the morning. It is estimated that the dead bodies belong to civilians held captive by gangs.
