Assassination in Varto

MUŞ - In the town of Varto, where Kurdish guerrillas have taken control from Turkish soldiers, two dead bodies have been found.
Guerrillas of the HPG (affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party or PKK) took control of the town of Varto yesterday. Clashes continued throughout the day in the town, located in Muş province in Northern Kurdistan (in Turkey).
Two dead bodies have been found in the Çeme Sus area of Varto. Eyewitnesses reported that one of the two individuals was wounded when assassinated. The other's body is in pieces.
Witnesses said there was a large explosion and that an armored vehicle headed to the area and began a bombardment. The bodies of the two, who have been identified as Andok Ekin and Demhat, are still on the ground.
