ISTANBUL - A group of women in the Kartal neighborhood of Istanbul have started a weekly peace tent in their neighborhood.

Every Saturday evening, the women of the Kartal neighborhood set up a peace tent. This weekend marked the third week of their action in front of the local Ahmet Şimşek High School with a noise demo.

Women held a film screening and forum discussion about women and war, while children drew pictures for peace in the tent. The women also set up a photograph exhibition on the scars of war in the peace tent.
