QAMIŞLO - Women's organizations in Rojava have launched their health campaign for women and children.

In city of Qamişlo, in the Rojava autonomous region in Syria, women's organizations have launched their health campaign for women and children. The campaign is organized through the neighborhood communes. It will emphasize preventive health services and raise awareness about preventive health.

Organizers will hold healthcare seminars through the neighborhood women's communes in Qamişlo. Commune members will also take an active part in organizing preventive health services. Through health check-ups in every neighborhood of Qamişlo, the campaign aims to increase early detection and provide timely health options for women. The campaign will also involve children's health services.

The Rojava Free Women's Foundation has been providing health services in all three cantons of Rojava for eight months now, said foundation representative AxinAmed. Now, the current campaign has emerged from the need for a more organized approach among the healthcare committees of local communes. The women's organization Yekitiya Star is also a partner in the campaign.

"As women, we will lead this campaign," said Axin. She said that the campaign aims for a collective project to help local assemblies fulfill not just formal, but functional roles.
