QAMIŞLO - Women in the Rojava city of Qamişlo will be seeking out training in healthcare to strengthen their role as leaders in society and in the Rojava revolution.

In the city of Qamişlo, in Rojava's Cizîrê Canton, the Rojava Free Women's Foundation held a meeting with women from the health committees of local communes. Dozens of women in leadership positions in the canton attended to discuss the plan to train women in healthcare.

"Our goal with this effort is to train women in the field of health and to enable them to protect themselves and take precautionary measures when it comes to their health," said Axîn Amed, of the Rojava Free Women's Foundation. She explained that healthcare education will be available to all women who want it.

"Whichever area of health women want to take part in, we will provide the educational opportunities for them to do so. They will take up roles in the canton hospitals," said Axîn.

The healthcare training effort has started in the city of Qamişlo and will be extended to nearby cities.
