HEWLER - There will be a march from the city of Ranya, in the Federal Kurdistan Region, to Kandil to protest Turkey's air strikes on guerrillas.

Turkish jets have conducted heavy bombing of the Medya Defense Zones, held by Kurdish guerrillas, since yesterday night. Today, people of Southern Kurdistan (in Iraq) will be gathering in the city of Ranya to march in protest. People are expected to come from cities including Sulaymaniyah, Erbil, Kirkuk and elsewhere for the march, starting today at 3:00 p.m. The march will end in the mountains of Kandil, in the heart of the Medya Defense Zones.
