ISTANBUL - The Peace March planned for Istanbul tomorrow has been banned by order of the provincial governor.

The Peace Bloc, a coalition of civil society groups and political parties in Turkey, called for a massive Peace March in Istanbul tomorrow. The march was intended to protest the AKP's politics of war and attacks by Daesh.

The Istanbul provincial governor has served the Peace Bloc representatives with an announcement that the march has been declared illegal according to Turkey's law on meetings and demonstrations, based on the fact that the route does not include "meeting and march areas."
