AMED - Emine Ayna, of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) in Northern Kurdistan (Turkey), says her party is preparing a long-term action plan in the wake of the Suruç massacre.

After a bombing attack in the town of Suruç, Turkey on Monday targeted members of the Federation of Socialist Youth Associations, political and social groups are planning their reaction. 93 institutions, political parties, unions and professional organizations have decided to form a shared delegation to act in the wake of the bombing.

Emine Ayna is the general co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), active in Northern Kurdistan. She says that although the delegation is made up of organizations with different political perspective, they are committed to a shared struggle against the politics that resulted in Monday's attack. Today, she and other members of the civil society delegation will be traveling to Suruç.

"On July 24, we will be coming together and delivering a long-term action plan to the government to solve this problem," said Emine. "This will be a long-running plan; it won't just be marches and press statements. The government has ended a [peace] process and decided to make war on the Kurds. Now Kurds are coming together to say 'no' to war and stand up for what they've won."
