NEWS CENTER - Four women who lost their lives fighting against Daesh in Rojava were buried yesterday in Turkey.

The bodies of 11 fighters were brought to Turkey in a single day on Monday. Four YPJ fighters, members of the women's defense force defending the Rojava autonomous region of Rojava, were buried yesterday in their hometowns in Turkey. All four lost their lives in battles in and around the town of Siluk, near the city of Girê Spî.

A crowd of thousands stopped traffic in the city of Şırnak yesterday to meet the funeral convoy of Devlet Turan (nom de guerre Bêrîtan Zîlan). Devlet died on July 6 in a battle with Daesh in Siluk. The crowd marched to the graveyard, where they chanted slogans of support as Devlet was buried.

The city of Siirt had the funeral of YPJ fighter Ayşe Kaçar (Bêrîtan Gabar), who died in villages near Siluk on July 6. After a crowd gathered at a local bridge to meet the funeral convoy, Ayşe's body was brought first to the mosque, then to the graveyard in the Barış neighborhood for her funeral.

In the town of Viranşehir, in Urfa province, thousands sang the Kurdish anthem "Çerxa Şoreşê" at the funeral of Emine Dinç (Beritan Gap). Emine died on July 3 fighting Daesh in the village of Mişerfe, near Siluk.

Finally, Necla Yılmaz (Tekoşîn Nûda) was buried in the city of Batman. A convoy of vehicles came to the city limits to escort Tekoşîn's funeral procession to a local home and then to the graveyard.

"25 of our martyrs came one after another," said Sîti Yılmaz, Necla's mother, referring to the many YPG and YPJ fighters' bodies buried in Turkey in recent days. "Don't forget their struggle and their labor; walk in their path."
