NEWS CENTER - The Flanders region of Belgium is bringing gender-neutral toilets to public buildings to prevent violence against trans people.
In Belgium, Flemish Parliament will bring gender-neutral toilets to public buildings. The program will start with toilets in the Parliament building itself. Toilets will no longer be labeled for "men" and "women," and will instead be designated as gender-neutral toilets.
"These toilets are an added-value for the welfare of transgender at their place of work," said Liesbeth Homans, Flemish Minister for Equal Opportunities.
