NEWS CENTER – YPJ fighters fighting alongside male militants against ISIS gang members are the topic of a new documentary by Russian state television station Russia Today.

The documentary, titled "Her War: Women Vs. ISIS," tells the story of Kurdish women and their role in the defense of Kurdish territories.

The RT documentary focuses on a group of YPJ fighters in the city of Serêkaniyê, Syria as they train to defend themselves and their people from the gangs attacking their people. The documentary follows 18-year-old Serêkaniyê resident Gulan as she leaves her family home to join the YPJ.
