12 fighters' bodies brought to Turkey

ŞIRNEX – Thousands of people came to the Habur border gate, in Silopi, Turkey, yesterday to receive the bodies of 12 Kurdish fighters.
A crowd arrived at the border gate in a convoy of hundreds of cars to greet the funeral convoy as it crossed the border from Iraq. Thousands flooded the border neighborhoods of Tilqebin and Avaşin. Residents poured onto their roofs and balconies, greeting the funeral convoy with victory signs. Traffic was shut down in the neighborhood.
Six of the slain YPJ/YPG fighters lost their lives in the course of the operation named after YPG Commander RubarQamişlo, which ended recently in the liberation of the city of GirêSpî (Tel Abyad) and the unification of Kobanê and Cizîrê cantons. Their names are TerfaCoko (nom de guerre TekoşinDersim), NurettinAlbayrak (ÖzgürDoğan), Şaabettin Say (JiyanAmed), ŞahinUlubay (Baran Bari), NesimTaşkan (Robar Uzim) and KübraPolat (Zilanİnan).
YPG fighter NazımHarmancı (Zagros Colemêrg) died on June 10 in a clash in the city of Serêkaniyê. İsmail HakkıKol (Robin Argeş) andSevgiDurmuş (NewrozÊlih) died in the fight for the town of Siluk on June 14; NaimAkgül (AgirDeniz) also lost his life the same day in Serêkaniyê.
Others of those among the dead lost their lives in earlier clashes. Mustafa Turgay (LaşêrAmed) fell on March 8 of this year in the fighting in the TilTemir area.AbdulkadirDurgun (ŞerzatDiyarbaz) died on August 20, 2013 near the town of Çilaxa. Finally, YJA-Star guerrilla YağmurTekdal (Sarya Amara) lost her life in an air strike that targeted guerrilla positions in Southern Kurdistan on November 22, 2011.
After an autopsy in Silopi, the bodies of the slain fighters were sent to several provinces across Turkey.
