NEWS CENTER – Tuğçe Albayrak, 22, was killed when she came to the aid of two women being harassed in Offenbach, Germany. Her killer received a sentence of just three years of jail time yesterday.

On November 15, 2014, Tuğçe Albayrak came to the aid of two young women being harassed by a group of men in Offenbach, Germany. The men attacked her. 18-year-old Sanel M. struck a blow that put Tuğçe into a coma that eventually claimed her life.

Yesterday, a court in Darmstadt sentenced Sanel to just three years and three months after a trial in which more than 60 people testified. Sanel was tried as a juvenile because he was under 18 at the time that he attacked Tuğçe.
