Diyarbakır bombing victim Civan Arslan dies

AMED – The twin cluster bombing of the HDP's Diyarbakır rally has claimed another life. 17-year-old Civan Arslan, struggling for life in intensive care at Dicle University's Hospital since Friday, lost his life yesterday.

The cluster bombing, which wounded over 400 people, rocked the crowded rally in the afternoon on Friday. With police vehicles spraying pressurized water and tear gas on the citizens before ambulances reached the scene, many arrived at the hospital much later than was medically advisable.

Civan Arslan was one of the many wounded in the bombing who was struggling in intensive care in the city's hospitals, which reached full capacity after the bombing. Civan's family and loved ones will hold his funeral in the nearby city of Bismil.
