NEWS CENTER – With instances of attempted election fraud ongoing all day across Turkey, the people have taken up a vigil in front of schools and the Supreme Electoral Council in Diyarbakır, Istanbul and Siirt.

In Beşiktaş, AKP polling station employees wrote down HDP votes as belonging to the independent Rights and Freedom Party (HÖP). HDP observers stopped the fraud, but tension emerged and AKP supporters have been trying to arrest HDP observers.

In Diyarbakır, with bags of votes continuing to arrive at the elections office, poll station workers are holding the bags close, despite police presence.Meanwhile, police have tried to intervene at the Namık Kemal Primary School as poll workers try to take the bags to the elections office. Unmarked cars belonging to police are still seen at the polling stations in several parts of the city. At Yenişehir Ali Emir Middle School, another polling station, HDP poll worker HevalDemirel reports that AKP supporters have escaped with a bag of votes.

In the province of Siirt, the people are waiting en masse outside polling stations across the province to guard the votes.
