Elections neglect reported in western provinces of Turkey

NEWS CENTER – The western provinces of Turkey are experiencing tense moments at the polls, with reports of false voters and interference with elections observers.

Voting has been tense in the Aegean region this morning. In the Karşıyaka district of Izmir, there were found to be AKP-stamped ballots present. One person was been arrested after the objections of other parties' observers. Meanwhile, there have been interferences with the actions of HDP observers in Denizli, Aydın Muğla.

There have been several reports of false attempts to vote. Two voters in Istanbul tried to vote for the AKP, despite not being on the rolls, in the Esenler Fatih neighborhood. HDP observers alerted a lawyer and stopped the action. Again in Istanbul, a Syrian citizen attempted to vote using a false ID at Kağıthane's Cengizhan Primary School. In Ankara, a police officer tried to vote three separate times in the Dikmen area, at the Sokullu Mehmet Paşa School.
