As voting continues, so do reported rights violations

NEWS CENTER – As over 53 million voters go to the polls in Turkey, reports of violations of voters' rights continue. Many reports are coming in from Kurdistan.
In Urfa, members of the Bucak Tribe have been said to be pressuring voters to vote in the open in the villages of Yücelan, Taşhan and Şekerli. In Ağrı province, there are more reports that in Yazıcı (the village of the AKP provincial chair) voters are being pressured to vote openly. After citizens objected, a French delegation headed to the scene and attempted to stop the rights violations. Meanwhile in Bingöl province, village guards and soldiers issued death threats to a Swedish delegation of observers, successfully getting them to leave the village.
There is a report of extra ballots at the Yunus Emre Primary School in Diyarbakır. There are reports of extra ballots in several villages in Ardahan province—such as Balıkçılar village, which has 412 ballots for 83 voters. In a village called Gelintepe in Bingöl province, voters are apparently not being required to show identification.
In Dersim, the CHP has not removed elections flags or stopped their elections vehicles' tours of the city, although campaigning has been forbidden since 6 p.m. yesterday.
