AMED –Filmmaker Lisa Çalan had to have a double amputation yesterday after being wounded in Friday's cluster bombing of a Diyarbakır Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) rally.

Lisa, who works at the Middle East Cinema Academy in Diyarbakır, was among the 416 people wounded in the attack. Lisa was rushed to Dicle University's hospital. There, doctors were forced to amputate both her legs to save her life.

In the wake of the amputation, doctors said that Lisa was under anesthesia and that her condition was critical.
