SERÊKANIYÊ – With Daesh's femicidal attacks on Rojava ongoing, women across the region continue to seek out self-defense training. 37 Serêkaniyê women celebrated their graduation from self-defense training.

In the city of Serêkaniyê, in Cizîrê Canton, 37 women from Kurdish, Arab and other origins completed self-defense training in their city.

"We're joining the self-defense trainings so that we can defend our neighborhoods and support the YPG/YPJ forces," said Semer Fewaz, 50, a recent graduate of the course. "If we don't protect our own neighborhoods, our own cities and ourselves, who's going to protect us?"
