Yerevan commemorates of Armenian genocide

NEWS CENTER – At genocide commemorations in Yerevan at the Tsitsernakaberd genocide memorial complex, Armenians remembered the Armenian genocide on its 100th anniversary. The purple forget-me-not that is the symbol of genocide remembrance is everywhere in Yerevan.
At the ceremony in Yerevan today, attended by French President Francois Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the slogan was "I remember and I demand." According to Armenian Now news, a symphony concert is planned for Yerevan's Republic Square this evening. There will be a torchlight march to Tsitsernakaberd at the end of the evening.
The 1.5 million genocide victims were officially canonized in a religious ceremony of the Armenian Apostolic Church yesterday.
Turkey is continuing its policy of genocide denial on the 100th anniversary of the genocide.
