NEWS CENTER – They show up in a public place in a city, all in black. Then they lie down on the ground in silence. Groups of Women In Black have been gathering across the cities of Spain to call attention to femicides in the country.

With 20 femicides by partners and ex-partners so far in 2015, women's groups in Spain are pushing for action against the epidemic of killings of women. On April 10, the Women In Black actions that have been taking place across Spain (first called by women's collective MujeresImperfectas) were called simultaneously in six separate cities, in perfects the largest Women In Black action so far.

The actions of 20 women have taken place in cities across the country.
