Police intervene in women who want to march in Ankara

ANKARA – Police intervened in the women, who gathered in Kolej Square in Ankara for November 25 and detained many women by battering.
Women’s organizations in Ankara gathered in Kolej Square to march on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25. Police closed the march route and intervened in the women, who wanted to march from Kolej Square to Sakarya Square.
While many women were taken into custody during the intervention, the tension continues.
