First statement from Gündem Çocuk: You can seal the buildings, never the people!

ANKARA – The activity of the Gündem Çocuk (Agenda: Child) Association has been suspended by Turkey’s Interior Ministry and the building of the association has been sealed. The members of the association said, “You can seal the buildings, never the people. We will continue to build a better world for the children.”
 
Gündem Çocuk (Agenda: child) Association, which determines and monitors the violations of children’s rights, is among the 370 associations whose activities have been suspended by the Interior Ministry. Following the closure decision, the office of the association was sealed. In the first statement, the members of the association said, “You can seal the buildings, never the people. We will continue to build a better world for the children.”
 
12-year history of the Gündem Çocuk;
 
Since 2005, The Agenda: Child Association has carried out their works on the basis of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child with the motto, “A better world for children”. Dozens of volunteers from different professional groups, from sociologists to psychologists, from jurists to educators, from architects to children and social development specialists, have worked for the association.
