Scandinavian representatives visit the KJA

AMED – A delegation consists of representatives from Denmark and Sweden visited the KJA.
 
Representatives of the Danish Parliament Anne Rehder and Nikolayi Villumsen and the representative of the Swedish Parliament visited the Free Women’s Congress (KJA). Ayşe Gökkan, member of the KJA gave information about the KJA and Kurdish women’s movement to the delegation members and told the attacks on Kurdistan people, in particular women, in the recent year to them. Ayşe indicated that they regard the imprisonment of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) General Co-chair Sebahat Tuncel, the KJA Spokesperson Ayla Akat Ata, the HDP Co-chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Diyarbakır Co-mayor Gültan Kışanak as attacks on women’s freedom struggle.
 
Hans Linde spoke on behalf of the delegation and said, “We are inspired by the fact that the struggle you have carried out here without nationalist, ethnic discourses but with a philosophy by including peoples’ rights and beliefs.”
 
The delegation stated that they would share the interviews with public opinion in the countries by putting the interviews into report form.
