A hopeful look at Sur

AMED – Four women, who have been waiting for lifting the curfew in the Sur district of Diyarbakır for months, are looking at their neighborhoods from a roof every day.
 
24-hour curfew was declared in the Sur district of Diyarbakır on December, 2, 2015 and it has been imposed in the town for almost for one year. The women, who haven’t gone to their homes due to the ongoing siege, come to Sur and look at their homes from roofs. Four women in the picture were neighbors in Sur and they had to leave their homes and move different places in the city due to the curfew imposed in the town. These women make the homesickness go away by visiting Sur and look at the besieged Savaş Neighborhood from a roof.
